Moment of happiness

To be pregnant is to feel like a queen,
- one feels unique, as noone else ever
gave  birth to a child, but this is
a miracle happening daily, all over
the World, yeat, it is so fantastic,
so great, every time it happens.

This poem is originally written by one of my favourite poets and
I have translated it into English for this page, for a tribute to life,
a tribute to my pregnant friends, ...to all parents.
All the best for you

~Moment of happiness~

'Is it true I´m holding a child in my arms
and see myself in it´s eyes,
that the rivers are sparkling and the Earth it warm
and not a cloud on the sky?

What time is it, what year is it,
who am I, what is my name?
You giggeling little one with sunkissed hair,
how did I get you in my arms?

I am alive, I am alive. I am standing on the ground.
Where was I before?
I think I have been waiting for millions of years
for only this minute.'
My transl. from the orig. by Erik Lindorm

This is something I wrote when
I was expecting my third child, to
 describe my happiness, my feelings
for my baby growing  inside me.

Who are you?

'A little child is growing inside me
To blow, to grow into this world
I am waiting for you,
the World is waiting for you

Who are you?
Are you my son or my daugther?

I do not know yet
But one thing I know for sure
You are you
My child
My beloved child'
