The very
first time I arrived to Mallorca it was with mixed feelings, I've been told there was nothing but parties and drinking tourists.
We took a last minute trip and ended up in Cala Millor, the hotel was small and
cosy, the nice lady that welcomed us became a dear friend and we returned after five
weeks,
and she celebrated us with champagne and flowers!
So from that very first visit we are in love with Mallorca, it´s an island for everyone to enjoy, - I most certainly do...
Cala
Millor is on the east coust and not as hot during the summer as it is in the North and South.
It´s more quiet and not so many tourists as in the other areas at Mallorca.
Cala Bona is a smaller, genuin place, near to Cala Millor.
We have found several nice and cosy restaurants there, mainly near
the harbor with fishingboats and yachts side by side.
The nature
on Mallorca is great, but you have to leave the tourist areas, go up to the mountains and meat tremendous views and wonderful villages, for example Deya and Fornalutx. Valldemossa is, I think, the most beautiful
village, and a trip to Sa Calobra makes you feel so happy, it´s so great!

Cala Mayor, west of Palma, is a genuin place where tourists
are living next to the villagers. Lots of the mallorcins spend their holidays there, even the king of
Spain, King Juan Carlos has his summer residens in Cala Mayor.
I love to visit
Mallorca, and I am always looking forward to the next trip,
- already when
I leave the island to go home.
