Where does the icecream come from? No one knows for sure but it was probably the Chinese that "invented" the
icecream. Then Marco Polo brought it to Europe after a visit in China in 1298
after having a dessert in Beijing, made by frozen milk. He took Chinese icecream
recipes with him home and so the icecream was established in Italy, but more
like sorbet, mixing snow with different kinds of fruit juice. Italy has always
been well known for the delicious icecream and I agree, it really taste
wonderful. Is this a myth? Who knows, I'm just happy for the icecream and wanted to share a
little of that "myth" with you.

What we today mean is icecream has been known since the 18th century, mixed with
eggs and milk products frozen outdoors.
In Sweden the icecream at first was very expensive and was made at
home and in restaurants for weddings and big parties. Not until the early 1900
it was available for the common people, it was often made at home by immigrated
Russians and Italians.
It wasn't until the 50th the icecream
became common in Sweden, but in the 30th there were icecream
factories in our country. The icecream was made in local dairies and
then delivered to the stores, one used ice and salt to keep the
icecream frozen. When the stores got fridges it became more common,
and also to those who had a freezer at home.
And I am happy for that, I just love
icecream, especially a hot Summer day. Or a crispy Fall day. Why not
in a cold Winter day, with a blanket around me. Not to meantion to
celebrate the Spring. Icecream is never, ever wrong;)
