What
is love? How
do we define the word?
No other feeling means so much different things as love,
it can be the love we feel for our children, our parents, our family
and our friends, but also the strong feeling we feel for our partner
in marriage, the person we live together with,
- or want to share life with, for better and for worse!
Yes, love is a
feeling which grows by sharing, by giving.
Love
is to be found in religion, but it is also a part of all human culture, in art, literature and dance, philosophy and psychology.
Love
has made the biggest impression in social developement.
It is strictly bounded up with
culture, what seems natural in certain societies can be considered criminal acts in others like polygamy for instance.
While
marriage in someparts of the world is connected to love, marriage by convenience is still normal in other parts of the world.
Love is an accepted and highly valued feeling in our modern
society, more than in the old society, where surviving often was the main reason for marriage.
In our modern society love is a human right.
