Friendship poetry 2

~A Friend Like You~
"There's lots of things
With which I'm blessed,
My problems have been few,
But of all, this one's the best
To have a friend like you.

In times of trouble
Friends will say,
"Just ask, I'll help you through it."
But you don't wait for me to ask,
You just get up and do it!

And I can think
of nothing more
That I could wisely do,
Than know a friend,
And be a friend,
And have a friend like you."

"A friend is like a flower,
A rose to be exact,
or maybe like a brand new gate
that never gets unlatched

A friend is like an owl,
both beautiful and wise.
Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost,
whose spirits never dies.

A friend is like a heart that goes
strong until the end.
Where would we be in this world
if we didn't have a friend?"

"The glory of friendship
is not the outstretched hand,
nor the kindly smile
nor the joy of companionship;
it is the spirited inspiration
that comes to one when he discovers
that someone else believes in him
and is willing to trust him
with his friendship."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

You Are Always My Friend
´You are always my friend
when I am happy
or when I am sad
when I am all alone
or when I am with people
You are always my friend
if I see you today
or if I see you a year from now
if I talk to you today
or if I talk to you a year from now
You are always my friend
and though through the years
we will change
it doesn't matter what I do
or it doesn't matter what you do
Throughout our lifetime
you are always my friend´
