A true story

This is a true story, about what happened to one of all the victims during world war 2. There are not so many left to tell their stories, thatīs why I want to write this down, we may never, ever forget.....!

She had no idea what whas going on, she had never in her life done anything illegal, and she didnīt understand what she had done to get this treatment.
All the terrible men in uniforms said her was: "Jew lover!"

They arrived to the head quarter, there was an even more terrifying man in uniform, some kind of a leader of the others, one could see the men was almost terrified of their boss.
"What have I done wrong?" the young woman asked.
"You have allied with enemies to our great leader", was the answer.

The young woman didnīt understand the meaning of the strange word,
- she was a simple farmer girl, with low education.
Soon it came clear to her what her crime was, she had given food to a family next door, a poor, jewish family, that was her only crime, to help people in need!

When she entered the convoy of prisoners, together with a lot of others, everyone afraid just like her, she felt in her heart it was the last time she saw her home ground. But she had no idea what whas happening, that her life from now on would be more ghastly than she could imagine!

After the arrival to the camp, she and a lot of women of different ages were brought to a house, with walls as thin as paper, with holes in the walls where the daylight shone through.
And now four years of hell began, four years of degradation, horror and despair. She tried to adjuste, cried during long, cold nights. She heard other preasoners crying and screaming, and lots of times, they were forced to be present at punishments and executions. Forced to see how a friend was hanged, or shot in front of their eyes. Everything in the order to show power, to show "what can happen".

Lots of times during these years she wished her life could end quickly, not to have this pain, to do slavery work in war material factories, making more material for destruction and death.
The years went by, and one day it was over. She and many of her friends, went on a bus, a bus that was taking them to Sweden, the country without war, and eventually she met the man who gave her life back, made her believe in  a  happy life, and as time went by, she got her life spirit back, and gathered the courage to live,  together with her dear husband and their sons.
