Some tiny
tips, hopefully useful for you:
Adding
subjects to e-mail forms:
Do
you want the subject to be ready
when your visitors wants to send a mail to you? Write this in the link: mailto:yourATemail?subject=whateveryouwant
(Looks f.e. like this:
mailto:yourmailAThotmail.com?subject=Hello)
Create
a shortcut to your screensaver:
Right click anywhere at your desktop,
select New, Shortcut, and write the search way: "C:\windows\system\yourscreensaver.scr"
Jumping fading over
pages:
Do you think it takes to much time to open faded
changeover pages?
Just
push Shift at the same time you click on the link to open
Do you want to change the name of the registrered
owner in Windows XP?
Easy! Just do this:
Go to Start, Run, sign in Regedit and Ok.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion.
Doubleclick on Registered Owner and change to
the name you want to be there. Cick OK.
That´s it!
Disabling image
toolbar in IE6:
In
the new version of the web browser Internet Explorer, IE6, the No Right Click Script isn´t working properly. When you hold the pointer over an image,
the right click menu appears,
and it is just to save the image, not always what we want to happen.
If you put this code under below <head> in your source, it will prevent this to happen.
<meta
http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no">
Shortcut
to special characters:
All
specific characters,
create a short cut
to reach them fast
when you need to put f.e. an Ř into a document.
The search way is: c:\windows\charmap. Right click anywhere at your desktop, select New, Shortcut, and write the search way there. Voilá, there is your fast way to
the specific characters.
Open a
zipped file with WinZip:
Double
click on the zip file, and
a window comes up, just click on I agree.
Then
a new window appears, push
Extract and a new window shows with
a line where it sais where to place
the unzipped file, choose:
C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\and
the name for it.
And the file is unzipped and ready to use.
Pack a file to
WinZip:
Right click on the file you want
to zip, choose:
Send to:
WinZip.
Download WinZip
It is more polite to make
BCC, Blind Copy
when
you are sending the same email to many friends at
the same time, to show a lot of addresses is not
to recommend at all.
I have made an address to myself,
named it For You,
instead of a name,
and when I send a mail with a gift
to all my friends at the same time it looks more personal.
To do that, just send a mail to For You! and add all
your friends in the line
Blind Copy, BCC, not Copy.
And your email looks much nicer and more personal.
No addresses are shown.
