Can anyone explain?

Mrs. Claus' delicious porridge makes Santa tired, so take it easy;)
 

Ingrediences:
1 cup round rice
2 cups of water
½ teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of butter
1 peace of whole cinnamon
4 cups of milk
1 tablespoon sugar

Boil the rice, water, salt, butter and cinnamon in a pan with the lid on for about 10 minutes, until almost all water is gone.
Mix in the milk, little by little, stir and simmer it on very low heat without stiring for about 40 minutes. Then stir the porridge and serve with cinnamon, sugar and milk.
When I was a child, we used to put a bowl on the porch for Santa so he could find his way over to our house.
And he did!
